9. Poker Table

This project was a collaborative effort with my friend Mike.  He plays fun poker with a group and they were in desperate need for a proper table.

We used 3/4 plywood for the table and covered the surface with thin padding and pool table felt.

High density foam was cut to the shape of the curved corners.  Then mike performed his magic and sewed the shaped vinyl covers.

It took a lot of thought and patience because everything we did was on finished surfaces, no room for mistakes.

There were many steps.
The fold up legs allowed the table to hang on the garage wall until game night.

Each step had to be done in a proper sequence.

Almost there.

Finally, the last piece.

Mike doing his magic once again making all the little specks disappear.

Each joint was covered by a decorative band.

Looking good!

Just add chips, cards and players.

Comments:  I usually work alone but it was nice to work with a good friend on this fun project.
